Does Speed Really Kills?

Exceeding the speed limit at highway is dumb, speeding in the city is dumber.
What is the use of speeding or hitting your rpm to the redline when your next mile is another traffic light?

Another dumb sentence (or should i say motto) of "Speed doesn't kill, sudden stationary that kills", is indeed senseless to me. That is just another irresponsible sentence. My motto is always "speeding is always the cause of fatality." You don't need to hire a rocket scientist to figure that out.

If you drive slowly, and the vehicle in front hit an emergency brake to make it stationary. If you are lucky, you are able to avoid the accident by having enough time to swerve aside. The worse scenario you can think of is you have a broken bumper, or your windscreen shattered by the impact from the dented bonnet. Even if you forgottened to buckle up your seat belt, you just headbutt your steering. If you are in a 5 star NCAP car, you will walk away without a single scratch.

Ok now think of it when you are travelling at a high speed and the vehicle in front hit an emergency brake. The result? Even if you have a nick of a second to swerve aside, your car will spun 360 degrees or more. If there is a tree beside the road, then your car will wrap around the tree like a frankfurter bun and gets a ticket to a junk yard. Survival the crash is just a miracle.

If you don't have that time to pull aside, then your vehicle is also good enough to claim a total loss and gets a ticket to a junk yard. Ok stop bulling if you are saying your reaction is fast enough to avoid the hit (unless you are Mr.Bush who manage to avoid a shoe flying with great speed.). If you forgottened to wear a seat belt, you better pray lady luck is forcing a smile on you. The windscreen will shatter, but not because of the impact from the bonnet, but the impact from your body. The impact is strong enough to puncture the windscreen and morph one into a flying sapiens for 5 seconds. Even a 5 star NCAP car couldn't help but watch helplessly as you fly above the air.

So which path do you choose? An accident with a hefty workshop bill and a minor injury, or an accident with a total loss car, along with a condolence cards? Choose wisely. You can make a difference. Think of your loved ones.
